National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) Industry Day

On 27 Jun 2019, the USDA’s National Centers for Animal Health (NCAH), located at 1920 Dayton Ave., Ames, IA, will host an Industry Day for the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) from 12:00PM to 3:00 PM CDT, in rooms 1063, 1065 and 1057. This is a part of ongoing market surveying efforts to identify capable sources of equipment and supplies dedicated to supporting future program requirements for the NAHLN. The applicable NAICS code is 334516 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Companies interested in attending this event are limited to (2) two representatives, and registration is mandatory. Attendance is limited to seventy four (74) participants.

Companies are invited to exhibit equipment and sequencing library preparation kits used for next-generation sequencing (NGS) only. Equipment must meet the following specifications: equipment must be capable of generating minimum read-lengths of 150 bp or more, returning average Q scores of 30 or better, and having Q30 passing scores of ≥ 85% across all reads. Library preparation kits must be capable of supporting these sequencing parameters.
